This session shows how BCS profiles a legacy estate with deKorvai DQView, converts the profiling output into a defect inventory owned by named business functions, and then places gates inside the SAP Activate timeline so remediation happens in Explore and Realize rather than in the days before cutover.
The gate model
A gate is only useful if it has an owner, a measurable threshold, and the authority to hold a step. The session walks through how BCS defines those three properties across the six SAP Activate phases:

- Explore. Thresholds are agreed with data owners and written into the programme plan as gating criteria.
