Symphony, the innovative orchestration platform, was pivotal in orchestrating the seamless transition of Philips' SAP landscapes to the cloud. Leveraging Symphony's capabilities, the BCS team efficiently prepared the target virtual machines (VMs) within the Azure cloud environment, facilitated the smooth deployment of SAP instances, and expertly managed the entire migration process alongside essential post-migration activities.

Implementing high availability (HA) systems was further enhanced through Symphony's automation prowess. By leveraging Symphony's automation features, Philips successfully streamlined critical maintenance operations, such as enabling maintenance modes for VMs and scheduling essential maintenance activities like system copies, kernel upgrades, and OS patching, as well as scheduled start and stop routines for VMs. These tasks, once labor-intensive and time-consuming, were now accomplished effortlessly with a simple click of a button, significantly reducing the burden on resources.

As a result of Symphony's remarkable capabilities, 12 consultants were freed up from routine maintenance tasks, enabling them to redirect their expertise and efforts toward more strategic initiatives.
